    Chili pepper paste or simply Chilli paste usually refers to a paste where the main ingredient is chili. Some are used as a cooking ingredient, while others are used to season a dish after preparation. In Myanmar cuisine, red pepper paste is used to create red pepper sauce, which is a common seasoning in the cuisine.

    Tomato paste is a thick paste that is made by cooking tomatoes for several hours to reduce moisture, straining them to remove the seeds and skin, and cooking them again to reduce them to a thick, rich concentrate. It is a shear thinning liquid which means that at a high shear rate, the paste becomes thinner and more liquid like. It is a liquid with a consistency between crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, and consists of tomatoes that have been boiled briefly and strained.
